High Tea is all well and good, but sometimes we like our afternoons more lively. The team at Hush do too, so they've teamed up with Hendrick's Gin to create an afternoon tea with a kick, starting with a Bellini, and continuing on to a delicious gin cocktail!

At one of the coolest restaurants in Mayfair, you'll relax in the beautiful private dining room on the second floor, and kick off your suave afternoon with your choice of Bellini from the tasty selection at the bar. Then you'll choose your table for High Tea, including a wide array of black, green, herbal and jasmine teas, as well as exquisite sandwiches, such as smoked salmon, English cucumber, egg mayonnaise and cress, and corn-fed chicken and avocado on Poilane bread. Your sandwiches are accompanied by delicious warm scones with clotted cream and a trio of home-made jams, as well as various types of mini macaroons.

But that's not all. We told you this High Tea comes with a kick, and that's your choice from four fantastic Hendrick's gin drinks. These artisan cocktails include the Wild Orchid, which combines tart blackberry jam, sake, elderflower cordial, and Hendrick's. Or try the Raspberry Rhapsody, with Hendrick's, fresh raspberries, lychee juice, fresh strawberries, and lemon juice. It's a refreshing summer drink with perfectly balanced sweet and tart flavours. The Strawberry Blonde blends Hendrick's with strawberry jam, chambord, and benedictine. It's sweet and fruity. Berry lovers will love the Berry Sensation, with Hendrick's, fresh blueberries, crème de cassis, cranberry juice, and violet liqueur. Each of the cocktails utilises the finest flavourful ingredients with one of the world's best gins.

Lift off from the ordinary with our Hendrick's High Tea at one of the chicest restaurants in Mayfair. With world-class gin, delicious snacks, and premium tea, you can be naughty and nice at the same time.

Hendrick's Gin One of the world's finest spirits

Hendrick's Gin, produced in Scotland since 1999, is generally considered one of the finest gins in the world, with a complex flavour that is totally unique. But just what makes Hendrick's so special? The answer has to do, of course, with the distillation method, which involves two separate types of still.

The pot still is the smaller of the two, and allows the essence of the juniper and other botanicals, which give gin its characteristic flavour, to pass into the liquid. After the first distillation, the alcohol level can be as high as 92%, but is gradually lowered to about 75%, after repeated distillation. The liquid at this point is heavy, oily, and very fragrant. This is ultimately blended with the liquid from the Carter-Head still, which produces a lightly floral liquid, by bathing the botanicals only in the vapour from the alcohol. By blending these two distillations, the complex, balanced flavour of Hendrick's is achieved.

Because the flavour of Hendrick's is so distinct, you don't need much to enjoy it. It can be drunk on the rocks, or with a splash of tonic. Interestingly, Hendrick's recommends using a cucumber, rather than the traditional lime or lemon, to garnish their gin and tonics. But however you enjoy Hendrick's, you'll be sipping one of the finest gins in the world.
