BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW
The white waters of the Vltava near Veltrusy where the Adrenalin Centre runs their adventures don’t look too welcoming when you are sitting in your raft. But imagine something a bit bigger, faster and frothier—like Vitoria Falls! Once you’ve gotten your feet wet in Prague, take off with the Adrenalin Centre to the Zambezi River.
The Zambezi River is one of the wildest rivers in the world with a rating of WW-5. With your experienced guides, you’ll start just below Victoria Falls (the most beautiful falls in the world on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia). Hang on tight, as on the river there are about 40 rapids—and with names like Morning Glory, Stairway to Heaven, Midnight Diner and Commercial Suicide, you won’t know what to expect from one wild ride to the next! This is a 6-day trip and while some experience is better, good physical condition and strong swimming skills are all that’s really needed. You’ll camp in national parks, and can even extend your trip to take a safari in Chobe National Park.
For an active holiday exploring a beautiful and remote part of the world—just say Go Zambezi!
MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Summer is here (we are sure of it!), and it’s time to do something un-winter like! So go jump in the Vltava! OK, not exactly jump, but it is something wet and wild organised by Lime&Tonic in partnership with the Adrenaline Centre.
With this fun-time offer, you can sign up to have a half-day white water rafting adventure, just outside Prague. The knowledgeable Adrenaline Centre folks will take care of everything, including transport from an agreed-upon location in Prague. Once you arrive riverside, they’ll assist with individual equipment selection, a safety briefing and white-water rescue instruction. Then you're off to get wild in the river! The whole experience takes about three hours, not including transport time.
The Adrenaline Centre uses a man-made white water canal that’s been used as an Olympic qualification course. The canal is about 500 metres long, and Grade 2-3 white water is guaranteed. The team is happy to work with beginners all the way through more experienced rafters, so is a great chance for anyone to have a white-water adventure. Children over the age of 10 are welcome with parental chaperones.
