BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW

Hope Street Virtuous dining?

There’s more to the good-vibe feel at Table for 20 than just the exquisite platters; the building is owned by Hope Street and each bill will be contributing to the charity's community projects.

Exclusively dedicated to helping the community, Hope Street constantly strives to empower the less fortunate in becoming effective and efficient community members.

Their scope of activity reaches out to people who are experiencing poverty, homelessness, abuse, addiction, long term unemployment, loneliness and any form of marginalisation.

So the next time you dine at Table for 20, keep in mind that you're helping to put a smile on the face of someone in need.

MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Escape the daily routine and experience the guerrilla-dining concept in a friendly atmosphere at the Table for 20 restaurant at Surry Hills.

Forget your average dining outing, Table for 20 is a unique concept that you will simply fall for as you share a communal table, food, drinks and laughter with total strangers.

Charmingly decorated with dim lights and warm colours, the restaurant hosts two large tables, each accommodating up to 20 persons and a small stage for live performances. Upstairs, the Sticky Bar serves international cocktails, beer, wine and snacks as you wait for dinner to be served, which is usually at 8pm.

Your host is chef and owner Michael Fantuz who welcomes you with his signature smile as you're about to embark on a lavishing culinary experience that is unique and memorable.

First you will start with an assortment of original salads followed by Michael's eccentric main dish recipes as a live performance soothes the background with melodic tunes, a much appreciated original touch as compared to commercial mix-taped play-lists. Finally, the freshly cooked desserts are quite a piece of heaven on earth.

Make sure to bring your bottle of wine, a tradition that adds the home party feel to this little intimate gathering. By the end of the night, you'll feel as though you've just left a dinner party catching up with old-friends!
