BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW

Coastal Beauty Famous Sydney Beaches

Manly was one of the first places in Australia to get a name. Captain Arthur Phillip, the governor of New South Wales who founded Sydney, gave it the title “Manly Cove” as a tribute of sorts to the confident, strong and all-around “manly” indigenous people who greeted him when he arrived there in search of fresh water (which he didn’t find there).

Nowadays, the peninsula is a favourite destination of Sydneysiders, as a holiday destination for those living in more rural areas, or a day trip for people living in the suburbs. It’s the perfect “city escape,” as it’s not only a great place for swimming, surfing and windsurfing, but the area is also known for its lively restaurants, cafes, shops, pubs and night clubs.

At the foot of Sydney’s northern beaches, Manly has a harbour beach, and one of Sydney’s longest and most breathtakingly beautiful ocean beaches, populated by surfers.

All in all, Manly’s sweeping coastline and lively spirit make it something to see – both from above, and from “sea level.”

MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Within 3 minutes from take-off you will suddenly find yourself looking down (and we mean straight down!) on the famous Bondi Beach. You will also take a wonder 500 ft high over the famous coastline of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs including Maroubra, Coogee & Clovelly.

The doors-off experience takes the helicopter experience to a new level. Feeling so free and exposed as you travel through the sky, you'll feel as though you could just about reach out and touch the spectacular houses & mansions of Dover Heights that sit precariously perched out on the sandstone cliffs as you continue towards Sydney Heads--the gateway to Sydney Harbour.

Your professional pilot will guide the aircraft through the magnificent Sydney Harbour flying past icons such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Watsons Bay, Rose Bay and Manly Cove. Your pilots years of experience and knowledge will show, with interesting narration of tales & facts about our fabulous cityscape.

On your return journey you will venture past the spectacular coastlines of Cape Banks and Botany Bay. You will fly past Bare Island (where the final scenes of Mission Impossible 2 were shot), and Port Botany before landing back at the heliport with a massive smile on your face.

With breathtaking panoramic views across Sydney as far as the eye can see, this doors-off heart pumping flight will leave you happy as Larry!
